PostAdmiral LTHamlet

Admiral LTHamlet,  which two assistant first class Marauders do you wish to deploy on this almost certainly suicidal mission into the Black Legions system. A long silence fills the air in the Admirals command station...Hamlet seems to  let himself drift into the past long ago before he commanded anything at all. As relics of the past flood his mind the command center remains busy but oddly quite.

Explorer third class LTHamlet is Expendable- A member of the highly skilled and highly disposable Marauders Clan trained to undertake hazardous missions so that the rest of humanity need not be upset by their almost certain deaths.  SGT Tarvis volunteers his flight squadron to take the mission deep into Nomad space knowingly to his death and the destruction of his squadron.

Hamlets heart races as he hears his SGT accept the mission. This is the chance he has been waiting for! a real fight to test his courage and training. His Wife Anne Soun is already the most powerful and influential Diplomat in the Sirus system. When she fails he has always hoped to do things the way he believes through use of force when the current system policies fail.

Oh how foolish he was...

The Admiral stands on his command ship thinking to himself so long ago if  Commander D Volker would not of found his crippled Titan Wreck smoldering on that asteroid  he would surely be dead. Oh Anne you where so right then and even more so now...

Admiral we await your command! Hamlet snaps back to the present and with the look of decades of war he gives the orders. Send SGT Liliana and her squadron on recon the black legion as been more and more intrusive into our systems. They are not to fight recon and maintain radio silence. If a large force is encountered they are to proceed to D7 on their navigation computer, where we will await to spring our attack. No longer will we tolerate Black Legions constant raids and attacks of our systems or transports.

You have your orders Captain Proceed!

Admiral LTHamlet :: Comments

As the Battle Fleet moves off into the gas cloud awaiting in position Admiral Hamlet lays down and drift's off to a deep deep sleep...(Dreams rush into the tired mind of Hamlet)

The King's spies, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern report to King Claudius on Hamlet's behaviour. Hamlet is eager for King Claudius and Queen Gertrude to watch a play tonight which Hamlet has added lines to. King Claudius and Polonius listen in on Hamlet's and Anne's private conversation. Hamlet suspects Anne is spying on him and is increasingly hostile to her before leaving. King Claudius decides to send Hamlet to England, fearing danger in Hamlet since he no longer believes Hamlet is merely lovesick. The King agrees to Polonius' plan to eavesdrop on Hamlet's conversation with his mother after the play to hopefully learn more from Hamlet.

Within a room in at Elsinore Palace, King Claudius, accompanied by Queen Gertrude, Polonius and Anne, asks Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to explain further why Hamlet "puts on this confusion, / Grating so harshly all his days of quiet / With turbulent and dangerous lunacy?" (Why Hamlet acts as if he is mad),

King Claudius' comment above that Hamlet is "putting on" a display of madness, clearly tells us that King Claudius no longer completely believes Polonius' theory that Hamlet is lovesick; instead it suggests Claudius knows Hamlet's lunacy is an act...

Rosencrantz pledges what he has seen, saying of Hamlet that "He does confess he feels himself distracted, Rosencrantz adding however that Hamlet will not tell him the "cause" of his distraction.

Guildenstern backs up Rosencrantz, telling King Claudius that Hamlet has avoided giving explanations for his behaviour, but "with a cunning madness", instead "keeps aloof, / When we would bring him on to some confession / Of his true state".

Queen Gertrude now questions Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, learning that Hamlet did receive Guildenstern and Rosencrantz "Most politely like a gentleman".

The Queen also asks of Hamlet's general activity, learning that Hamlet was enthusiastic and happy at the arrival of the Marauders in the court, Rosencrantz saying that "there did seem in him a kind of joy".

Polonius now adds that Hamlet "beseech'd" or urged him to "entreat" or request that King Claudius and the Queen watch the play to be acted for Hamlet tonight.

King Claudius, who now seems very wary of Hamlet's emotional state, is very pleased to hear his Warrior is happy again, saying "With all my heart; and it doth much content me / To hear him so inclin'd".

King Claudius now tells Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to "give Hamlet a further edge, / And drive his purpose on to these delights" by which Claudius means for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to encourage Hamlet to follow this acting interest of his since it appears to make Hamlet happy.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern now depart, King Claudius asking his wife, Queen Gertrude to also leave since as Claudius explains, he and Polonius have arranged for Anne to meet Hamlet at which point the two men will hide so they can eavesdrop on Hamlet's and Anne's conversation to learn if Hamlet's behaviour is the result of "the affliction of his love".

Queen Gertrude leaves, telling Anne that she wishes that her "good beauties be [are] the happy cause / Of Hamlet's wildness [madness];" in which case Queen Gertrude hopes and tells Anne that "I hope your virtues Will bring Hamlet to his normal way again,".

Anne respectfully replies to the Queen, "Madam, I wish it may".

With the Queen now exiting, Polonius tells Anne where to walk, whilst Polonius and King Claudius hide behind an arras (a tapestry wall).

Polonius tells his daughter Anne to "Read on this book;" or be reading a book since Polonius explains reading a book "may colour / Your loneliness" or rather make it more convincing when Hamlet finds her.

Polonius now mentions that under the guise of devotion, one can often do tasks (such as making Anne spy on Hamlet) that are evil and wrong which he likens to sugaring over or making less offensive, the devil.

Polonius: "We are oft to blame in this, / 'Tis too much prov'd, that with devotion's visage [face / appearance] / And pious action [devoutly religious or virtuous action / doing something with the guise that it is holy] we do sugar o'er [over] / The devil himself (we do sugar over or cover up / disguise the most vile, horrid things which of course are represented as devil-like)".

King Claudius' conscience is now awakened by Polonius's remark since King Claudius in an aside to himself, agrees with Polonius' sentiment that one can commit wrong with all the right actions, King Claudius explaining that "The harlot's [prostitute's] cheek, beautied with plastering art [made beautiful with makeup], / Is not more ugly [is not uglier] to the thing that helps it / Than is my deed [killing King Hamlet] to my most painted [false, hypocritical] word:" before exclaiming the weight of his guilt with the line "O heavy burden!" (O! how heavy is the burden of my guilt!),.

Hearing Hamlet coming, Polonius tells the King that they should withdraw or hide from view behind the arras before Hamlet sees them.

Hamlet now enters and alone, speaks his third soliloquy, the famous " To be, or not to be:" soliloquy. Beginning with the lines "To be, or not to be: that is the question:", Hamlet asks himself whether it is more noble in the mind to suffer "The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune," or to "take arms [fight] against a sea of troubles [a mountain of worries]," and by fighting or opposing them, to then end those worries.

Next he asks the question of whether to die or to sleep pondering philosophically the difference between the two, before noticing Anne.

Anne and Hamlet cordially greet each other before Anne tells Hamlet that she has "remembrances of yours," (letters) that she says she had longed to "re-deliver;" (return) to him.

Hamlet pretends that he never sent them but Anne reminds him that he knows very well that he sent them to her. Anne now remarks on how those remembrances contained "words of so sweet breath compos'd [made of such sweet, beautiful phrases],.

She tells Hamlet to deny this no further since as she says "Rich gifts wax poor [are made poor] when givers [like Hamlet] prove unkind".

Hamlet, realizing that Anne is acting very cordially and unusually starts to indicate his distrust of Anne by saying "Ha, ha! are you honest?", Anne gasping "My lord!" before Hamlet then asks "Are you fair?" these being very rude questions to ask a lady and questions more appropriate to a man inquiring about a prostitute in this time...

We can sense that Hamlet already distrusts Anne and may be wondering who may be listening in to his conversation...

Anne now asks Hamlet what he means, Hamlet answering that "if you be honest [if you are honest] and fair, your honesty should admit no discourse to your beauty".

Anne asks Hamlet whether beauty could have any better commerce than honesty, Hamlet answering that beauty and honesty form a paradox before telling Anne that "I did love thee [you] once,".

Anne replies that Hamlet certainly made her believe so and now Hamlet beginning to feel enraged, tells her it was a lie, "I loved you not".

Anne replies that she "was the more deceived" before Hamlet tells Anne to go to a nunnery; men such as Hamlet are not to be trusted.

Hamlet now asks her whether she would she be "a breeder of sinners?" Hamlet saying that he has committed acts that would make it better if his mother had not given birth to him.

Hamlet now says that he is proud, revengeful and ambitious, telling Anne that "We [men] are all arrant [aimless] knaves (fools / barbarians), all [of us];" before telling Anne to "believe none of us" and to go to a nunnery.

Now in a line which clearly shows us that Hamlet totally distrusts Anne, Hamlet out of the blue, asks Anne "Where's your father?".

Anne who knows exactly where Polonius is, lies saying Polonius is "At home, my lord".

Hamlet, clearly realizing that Anne has betrayed him and must be working on King Claudius' behalf, insults King Claudius by saying " Let the doors be shut upon him, that he may play the fool nowhere but in's [in his] own house" before curtly saying "Farewell" to Anne.

Note: The fact that Hamlet finishes his initial conversation to Anne quickly after asking about Polonius suggests Hamlet is angry at being betrayed by Anne since he wishes his so- called love to leave his sight immediately. Additionally, Hamlet's insult of King Claudius was so offensive and declamatory in its syntax that we must conclude its purpose is for Hamlet to prove to his spies that he knows they are there...

Hamlet now directly insults Anne, telling her that he would give her a Nomad DNA as a dowry should they Stay married and that no matter how pure she is, she will not escape "calumny", telling her again to go to a nunnery but in a tone suggesting less that it is advise and more that it is an order.

Hamlet now adds that if Anne and he must stay married then she should stay loyal to a Admiral, "for wise men know well enough what monsters you make of them" before again telling her to go to a nunnery.

Anne asks the heavenly powers to restore Hamlet or return him to normal, Hamlet launching another blistering attack on Anne, who he now clearly sees as having betrayed him by working for Claudius.

Hamlet tells Anne that "god hath [has] given you one face, and you make yourselves another:" adding "you jig [a ludicrous ballad], you amble, and you lisp, and nickname God's creatures," before Hamlet tells Anne that he will not take it, and to leave his sight immediately, since he tells Anne that she "hath made me mad".

After denouncing all marriages, Hamlet leaves, leaving Anne to mourn "what a noble mind is here o'er-thrown [overthrown]:" or as she later says, "Blasted with ecstasy:" which used to be so ordered and authoritative.

With Hamlet gone, King Claudius and Polonius emerge from the arras, with King Claudius certain that Hamlet is not in love, adding that what Hamlet said "Was not like madness".

King Claudius notices that Hamlet's so called madness may very well be an illusion, since he remarks that "There's something in his soul / O'er [over] which his melancholy [sadness / depression] sits on brood;" and adding that he has no doubt that "the hatch and the disclose [the real reason for his behaviour] / Will be some danger;" (will be dangerous to him),.

Certain that the real cause of Hamlet's behaviour poses a threat to him, King Claudius decides that to prevent any danger to his person by sending Hamlet away to Hel one where distance alone should make him less of a threat than he is to King Claudius here in Omega 41.

King Claudius: I have in quick determination / Thus set it down: he shall with speed to Hel one, / For the demand of our neglected tribute: / Haply the space and systems different / With variable objects shall expel / This something-settled matter in his heart, / Whereon his brains still beating puts him thus / From fashion of himself.

(I have decided to send Hamlet to Hel one in return for those neglected tributes that have not been paid to me there. Hopefully this change of location shall settle the problem in Hamlet's heart, which his thinking about is only worsening, putting him at odds with his normal character),

King Hamlet now asks Polonius what he thinks of his idea, Polonius answering that he still feels that "The origin [the cause] and commencement [beginning] of his [Hamlet's] grief / Sprung [came] from neglected love [Anne's rejection of Hamlet]".

Polonius now scolds Anne since he is still certain she is the true cause of Hamlet's behaviour before suggesting that King Claudius may "do as you please;".

Polonius does however, receive King Claudius' permission to have Queen Gertrude speak with Hamlet after the play so that Polonius can learn more for the King by listening in to their conversation.

King Claudius ends the scene by both giving Polonius permission to spy on his wife and Hamlet's conversation and by warning of the danger, complacency represents...

King Claudius: "It shall be so [you, Polonius have my permission]: / Madness in great ones [Hamlet] must not unwatch'd go [Madness in great ones should not go unwatched]".

Anne's Vision and Maraders return home!
Post Tue May 04, 2010 2:37 pm  LTHamlet
It’s been seven long months since Hamlet went off to battle with Dacia against the syndicates. All of Anne’s efforts to keep the Marauders and their system together as lead to some Diplomatic advance. The Junkers have been very pleased to help, However Anne is unsure whether for friendship or profit is their motive… a little of both perhaps! as her ability has been clouded as of late. Anne’s failures may have led her husband Hamlet to his death and has weakened the Marauders control significantly.

A little more than half of the Marauders and their allies have returned from their assault on the syndicate’s base. Counting the dead is part of war and with little news from the survivors of the Battle Ship Rothinous, Hamlet is feared dead. Anne’s heart weighs heavy for the first time even with her special abilities to see beyond and into the future she has doubt for the first time.

Anne since birth has always known she was blood of the ancients bestowed with the ability to see glimpses of the future and sense the intention of those around her. She also can communicate telekinetically with certain beings and the wild creatures out side the city shields on her home world. She does not get out of the city as much as she would like and when off world she is in intense Diplomatic negotiations.

Anne grows tired and drifts of to a faint sleep with the thoughts of all these events on her mind… Suddenly after hours of rest Anne erupts from slumber and a vision explodes before her in a bright flash. Anne sees it but can it be Hamlet is alive in Babylonia on a Dacian supply ship drifting in space. She must hurry and find Volker before its to late she rushes out thinking to herself there is hope after all with a smile.

Anne joins Admiral Wicked's convoy.

Admiral Wicked's Trade Convoy

Anne’s ship joins Admiral Wicked’s trade convoy in route to Manhattan. It is dangerous these days to travel as a single ship. Joining with the convoy will make her travels much safer and will ensure her timely arrival to meet Volker. For there will be plenty of fighter escort on this trip since the convoy ships are loaded to the bulkheads with gold. Anne’s Diplomatic vessel settles into position and waits for commencement of jump procedures.

Admiral Wicked smiles at his busy crew checking and rechecking flight data. SGT. Valiart’s fighter squadron reports in: clear on long-range scans. The Admiral almost bruiting with confidence that this will be just another standard run. He is just in feeling that way for his trade and business expertise is unmatched in all the fleet. Even a few of the Junkers best traders are going a long Anne’s new found hope is well to becoming reality.

The fleet reports in all clear and locked down we are ready for jump. Admiral Wicked waits for a few seconds as he finishes with the last report satisfied he looks up and says “Commence jump.” The fleet then disappears into the Gate and is under way.

Two hours have passed and the fleet is nearing Manhattan once again the crew is busy with running data and sending jump exit location to all fleet captains. This is a most crucial part of execution, its to risky for any one ship to drop out to early for they would quickly become a Rogue target or something worse like the dreaded Reavers. The Reavers bring shivers to all those who hear their name.

As the fleet exits the jump all fleet captains report in and all is well. Manhattan is in sight and another flawless run for Admiral Wicked. The Admirals duties are still not through now comes the task of getting all traders to their prospective buyers and collecting the rewards of a well lead trade convoy. Anne’s Diplomatic vessel request an open channel to the Admiral and request is granted.

Anne thanks the Admiral for her safe delivery and commends the admiral for a well-done jump. Anne then rushes to dock and meet Volker in the City Port of entrees at the Lounge.

Die Volker Leaves for Babylonia to find Hamlet
Post Mon May 10, 2010 3:05 pm  LTHamlet
Anne Arrives in the Lounge and meets Volker she explains about the vision that she has had. Volker after hearing this is somewhat skeptical but agrees that it’s worth looking into. Volker thanks Anne for her information even though he has always had lack of faith in Diplomats and their abilities. Anne departs for she has Diplomatic business on Manhattan that may strengthen their friendship between the Junkers and Marauders.

Volker is a very battle hardened warrior to him concessions only lead to more death and being Leader of Marauders has no time for wild reaver chases. However gaining a ranking officer back to the ranks is something he cannot afford to over look. The battle that took place in Syndicate space was a huge set back to the Clan and its allies.

As it is Admiral Gabriel is also listed as MIA last know position was his battleship rammed the Syndicates base and was fighting fiercely. One can only guess about his demise. Volker knows he needs this to be true a chance to strengthen his command is an in devour he will take upon himself and prepares to leave for Babylonia.

Volker has been searching for two days and still finds nothing…Suddenly the sensors pick up a faint homing beacon. Volker thinks can this be it and moves to investigate the signal. Pirates then show up on his sensors also homing in on the signal, filled with lowlife scum they have been increasingly invading Marauders space.

Volker approaches and sees it’s a Dacian supply ship as Anne described with no time to waste swoops in triggers the life pod to eject and beams the pod in. Just in time the pirates our almost in ranged, Volker hits the thrusters and heads straight at them. His Cannons firing rapidly cripples the leader of the Pirate fighter squadron and with a quick dive in front of the Pirate Destroyer throws full power to the thrusters and escapes untouched. Those Pirates might become dangerous Volker thinks to himself if they were trained at all and smiles.

Admiral LTHamlet's Tribunal
Post Mon May 17, 2010 1:56 am  LTHamlet
After A severe Battle at Syndicates home base with our old allies Dacia. Admiral Hamlet Flies his badly damaged Battleship deep into the syndicate controlled asteroid field. Hamlet took 85% casualties in this bloody Battle and to save his remaining crew abandons his ship even against the rules of War knowing he will lose rank and possibly be sentenced to death. All hands abandon ship the crew is so ordered, Hamlet stays with the ship, this is what he thinks is right as an Admiral.

Admiral Hamlet was thought to be Dead after 8 long months has past Volker finds Hamlet floating in a dead wreck in one of Dacia's Badly damaged supply ships left behind in that horrific battle. One of Dacia's pilots must have saved the Admiral upon retreat. With just enough life support for the cyro to function and auto pilot power failure left the Admiral a drift in the Babylon system. Lucky for Hamlet yet again The Marauders Leader Volker comes to his aid.

Coming home was very unexpected Hamlet never thought he would have to face what happened in the Syndicate battle. He should be dead and is not sure if being alive is a good thing there were critical errors in the plans against the Syndicate. One is the size of there fleet was grossly under estimated leading to them being completely over whelmed.

Anne hug's Hamlet bringing him back from his distant thoughts, Anne always had a way of breaking through the Admirals coarse persona. Volker had been talking about the councils tribunal and was not about to let them lay this failure on Hamlet as they would wish. After all this was jointly planed and the council was not out of reach of their own blame for these events. Their constant meeting of how Syndicate does not have such authority to do what ever the walking junk piles wished. Volker has a plan and a powerful hand in the councils actions he states this will be nothing but a formality. We begin in the next hour...

At the Admirals tribunal after hearing lengthy retrospect, Volker once again comes to the Admirals aid and speaks this to the court.” It is my recommendation that the Admirals life be spared in the light of saving lives in a battle that was lost to our allies and us. In light of these actions I wish for the Court to take this action alone- reinstate Hamlet to Captain! For there is no harder punishment than the lessons of WAR."

To CPT.Hamlets surprise the Court ends with this note

Captain Hamlets Promotion!

Winnol and Hamlet stand over the Command planning station in deep discussion of the attack on Black Legions base. Volker is away on consult to the Europan Leaders in Babylonia and will not be able to be reach with detailed Intel on the attack. Winnol has ask Hamlet to plan the approach for the attack and escape if things go wrong as he is the best person for this task. Hamlet is eager and somewhat apprehensive for it brings back haunting memories of fallen crewmen who he was in command of.

Four of our fighter squadrons lead by Hamlet will enter Omnicron Gamma through Unknown two while a light skirmish diversion in Alexandria takes place to keep the Black Legion distracted. The squadrons will scatter themselves among the wrecks by the unknown two-jump hole and power down except life support. Once in place the diversion will stop and two of our gutted freighters without escort and armed only with Penetrator Torpedoes will enter the Black Legions system from Alaska and very slowly make their way to the unknown jump hole making as much radio chatter as possible. Black Legion will no doubt find this intrusion to irresistible and come to attack them.

This is the most crucial point the freighters need to arrive at the jump hole at the same time the Black Legion start their attack on them. This is when we spring our trap and engage and destroy their fighters giving the freighters free right of way to the Black Legion Base to cripple if not destroy them. If for any reason the attack is compromised we will all retreat through the jump hole to unknown two and the Monkeys will assist our retreat and keep them busy. The second faze of our retreat will be to Nomad One where Dacia will intercept any incoming hostile ships insuring our safe exit this will be the case for either scenario a successful attack or a bad one this is our Exit.

After further planning Winnol agrees this is a sound battle plan and will be executed immediately for Intel reports Black Legion are near the New York Jump Gate as we speak and all fighters are here and ready at the Monkey out post. Winnol and Hamlet look around the Command center and wish everyone good luck! This one is for their interfering in the Battle of the Lost against the syndicate for all our fallen Brothers.

The battle moves forward as planned and works with amazing accuracy the Black Legion have gotten so very predictable. They were taken by complete surprise and easily crushed under the skilled Marauders pilots lead by Captain Hamlet. The freighters found their target completely unprotected The Black Legions base was crippled to the point of decommission plus there were zero loses on our side. Indeed this deals a lethal blow to the Evil that plaque the Sirius system and a valuable victory for the Marauders and Allies!

Upon Volkers Return to the Marauders Base he enjoys cheers of Ale and the sweet smell of Victory! After our Leader is debriefed he stands before the Marauders and commends each and every Pilot by name wishing he could have been there but political policy had to have its day also. Finally Volker Turns to Hamlet and Says you have done a very fine job indeed and I thank you for your skill in this accomplishment Admiral Hamlet Well Done! Three cheers and the Marauders drink on into the night.

MARAUDERS NEW HOME!
Post Mon May 31, 2010 11:05 am  LTHamlet
Marauders New home

The Marauders Mercenary’s have wondered endlessly through out Sirius taking on jobs that most would flee from! Our plight has always been one of fighting for the injustices done to others by evil. For we ourselves where also ravaged as a people our only crime was longing to find our place in this hostile universe. We started as a tight group of fighter pilots in need of a home to call our own, knowing the path would be long and full of trials. This is our story to tell let no one claim it as their’s for we defend our name with just vigil!

Volker, Gabriel, Hamlet and Wicked all would meet at Arkha base to consult with clients or each other. We had formed early relationships within Europa’s boarders with all sorts of characters. Some not so welcomed for our knowledge of Admiral Caspire’s use of a lethal nerve nanovirus that kills by homing in on the DNA codes of its victims. Our dislike of him brings us to secretly plot his demise. Hamlet just married Anne a Sirius high-ranking Diplomat that promises leverage in Europa’s High Command.

Anne since birth has always known she was blood of the ancients bestowed with the ability to see glimpses of the future and sense the intentions of those around her. She also can communicate telekinetic-ally with certain beings and the wild creatures out side the city shields on her home world. She does not get out of the city as much as she would like and when off world she is in intense Diplomatic negotiations. Such as negotiating with Bretonia to use building a gate in Tartarus for open trading with Europa as a tool to bring down Admiral Caspire and end his terror! The Marauders will in secret partially fund the construction of the gate and refurbishing of Tisiphone as part of the deal.

Admiral LTHamlet Anne_

After the arrest of Admiral Caspire a new Commander took his place on Tisiphone base Commander Augustus. There the new Commander has overseen the new gate and security details. Augustus has had a long history with the Marauders hiring them for a numerable amount of jobs. This is the political environment Commander Volker has and his colleges have been waiting a lifetime for. Everything is in play and the time is now for a major move in extending the Marauders longevity.

Anne now closes a deal with the Junkers that will allow The Marauders to build a base in Europan space and increase trade in Babylonia. All of Anne’s efforts to keep the Marauders and their allies system together as lead to some Diplomatic advance. The Junkers have been very pleased to help, However Anne is unsure whether for friendship or profit is there motive… a little of both perhaps! As her ability has been clouded as of late. Anne now has a new hope for her and the Marauders.

The Marauders base near completion and the joint security detail offered to Marauders at Tisiphone by Commander Augustus. Volker, Winnol, Gabriel, Hamlet, wicked and Anne finally see the dream of establishing The Marauders as a strong force against evil and protecting the less fortunate. The days ahead will be full of hard ships and trials but no one said keeping the peace would be easy a dauntless task at best. A communication is sent to Europa’s High Command, Volker sets out to meet them.

Volker meets with Europa’s High Command to announce the Marauders allegiance as a Wing Corp in Europa’s Navy. With heavy coverage by Rick Mave for SNN Commander Volker and the Europan Government make this announcement of their intention with the Marauders. “ We the Europan Government have added The Marauders Wing Corp to our Navy they are hereby in control of Babylonia’s security and with full joint authority to see the best interest of the Europan Government is met by all! Thank you for your time all questions are to be forwarded to the summit meetings.”

The Marauders are at last…home!

Dacia Merges with Marauders!
Post Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:34 pm  LTHamlet
Dacia helps an Europan research mission in Nomad 1

Two days ago a heavy attack from the Nomads against all bases and transports in the Nomad systems has prompted longer flight patrols within Nomad 1 stretching Dacia and the Monkey resources thin. As it seems the Nomads have started to gather strength again. Even despite the attacks they receive from the new threat from Hel 1 adding to the accusations that the Liberty Navy seems to have gotten selfish with their help and relief efforts throughout Sirius. A squad of Dacia fighters on a high alert patrol of Nomad 1 breaks radio silence to take on some light conversation as they near The Monkey outpost.

Alpha13- “What are you going to do while we are on the outpost?” Alpha 12- “I heard through the wire that there is a convoy of Europan medical and research ships from Opis docking as we speak! Full of available nurses… {Light chuckle}!” Alpha 13- “Alpha 12 how do you get all the good Intel on available ladies…{lots of laughter}…” Alpha 2- “Cut the chatter we are on approach vector 6.4 keep your eyes open… reports state high risk encounters in this sector we don’t want a replay of what happened a few days ago.” Alpha 2- “Monkey outpost we are inbound 20k out what is your status over…”

“This is Monkey outpost we are under heavy attack! A massive Nomad counter attack is upon us! We have four Europan vessels trying to dock and they have a light escort that is in need of assistance, damage report as follows…Two squadrons lost trying to defend our base and the convoy base shields at 43% can you assist over…”

“Alpha 2- We have them on scope and will engage… stay in tight pilots first target Nomad Destroyer vector 6.2 let him have it at 1k full affect Penetrator torpedoes then full thrust bank left and break to engage fighters…over. Copy that Alpha 2 set to engage.”

As the Dacian Squadron banks left and breaks for fighter engagement the torpedoes impact full affect on the Nomad Destroyers hull ripping the ship right down the starboard side setting the ship adrift and completely disabled. The EMP shock wave races outward from the point of impact with impressive speed catching one of the Dacia fighters, one medical transport and three full squadrons of Nomad Hybrids in its wake disabling them all. As alpha 2 and Alpha12 chase of the last two nomad fighters they turn their guns on the drifters clearing the area of all hostiles.

Alpha 2- “The area is secure you may commence clean up operation we will hold a flight parameter of 5k to protect the OP…over.”

The Monkey outpost sends out repair vessels and aides the drifting medical Transport with the discovery that the Marauders and Europan Diplomats are on board. As usual Anne finds this a valuable opportunity to Negotiate. After hours of talks with Dacia leadership Anne and Europa convince them that a stronger Europa will help secure the stability of outer regions and will contribute to stopping the nomad insurrection into the colonies. Dacia agrees to merge with us and fly under the Marauders banner.
Dacia will not disappear all together. The citizens of Sirius will still see Dacia tagged ships occasionally and they will still be force to reckon with!
